In this talk, Tomáš will take a short dive into the principles of animation as the original Disney animators described them. Rather than focusing on a specific software, he will talk about the general artistic principles of motion, weight, and character that apply to all types of animation. Whether you want to create full-on animated characters or motion for abstract patterns and effects, this talk will be a great springboard to get you thinking about motion like an animator.

Tomáš is a highly skilled animator who originally trained in classical animation, but later moved on to 3D animation. He currently specialises in motion capture animations. He began his career in video games, working on titles such as Mafia 3 or Red Dead Redemption 2, before transitioning into film visual effects (VFX). You can see his work in Avengers: Endgame, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, and Avatar: The Way of Water, among others.
